Welcome to Rebela Gallery!

Becca Bryant is a southern Louisiana visual artist who focuses on creating paintings that envision liveliness. With emphasizing in explorations of variety , Becca produces acrylic, mixed-media, abstract, & street art based pieces. There are no boundaries nor rules when it comes to creating for this young artist. The name representing her work, "Rebela", was previously a tag name before her graffiti arrest in 2013. Becca defines Rebela as an independent female rebellion. She uses her own sense of direction along with breaking the rules to fulfill her appreciation of what she perceives to be modern day art. With having street art burnt into Becca's brain, her main preference is spray paint along with other special techniques to make a piece memorable for the client.

" I was drawn to the arts/street art since I was about 6. I still remember the first day I saw it; this huge, eye-opening piece that covered an entire brick wall in small downtown New Iberia, Louisiana. There was so much going on with this mural. I could literally create a new story in my head about the mural each time I would pass it because it was that enticing. Passing down the same street one day, I looked over to see nothing but a blank brick wall. Why? It clicked in my head that only someone close minded would think that this wall would look better blank. That one piece opened up my mind to the appreciation of street art. You could be in a horrible mood on your morning route to work, having a bad day, or stressing over situations that won't matter in 10 years.. However, you see something like I saw in that mural, & it gives you a sense of enlightenment; even if it's just for a few seconds. There is such a taste of freedom along with limitless possibilities by using spray cans to create artwork."
